Apartments in SW DC that offer access to a varied mix of art and culture

From Arena Stage to Blind Whino, Southwest DC has a rich and vibrant art scene that spans many tastes and forms of expression.

Blind Whino is a non-profit arts club and event space located in Southwest that provides an art space for exhibits, events, live performances and artist workshops. You definitely won’t miss it if you pass by it – the exterior of the former church is fully painted in bright colors and shapes, making it a piece of art in itself.

Arena Stage is a center for American theater in our nation’s capital with productions, diverse and innovative works from around the country and the nurturing of new plays with a focus on American artists. After being established in 1950, this theater company seeks to enlighten us about the American experience through performance, and they do so in a beautifully renovated building on M Street, just across from the waterfront. It’s worth a walk-by just to see the exquisite space, but it’s even better when you see a show.
